C8 Stingray Long-Term Update on Vitour P1s

Here’s an update on the wear performance of my 295/345-18 Vitour P1s after extensive use. I’ve been running these tires for:

  • 4 sessions at Road America
  • 14 sessions at Gingerman
  • 26 sessions at Putnam Park
  • 27 autocross runs at Lincoln Tech
  • 4 trips to and from Grissom, about an hour each way, plus random errands around town.

That’s roughly 9 days on track at about 5 sessions a day, and about 4 days worth of autocross runs at 6 runs per event.

Tire Wear and Performance

  • Front left tire is starting to look like a slick, but remarkably, there are still no cords showing. I haven’t flipped the fronts on purpose because, let’s be honest—I’m in a race to be the first one to cord a P1!
  • At the IndySCCA Putnam Park #1 event, another driver started with brand new A7s and ended the event on cords.
  • In contrast, I’ve been pushing my P1s hard, and while I’ve run less time on my A052s (since I’m focused on testing the P1s), I’ve already had to replace my first set of A052s.

The Vitour P1s continue to deliver exceptional durability, providing long-lasting performance both on and off the track. If you’re looking for a tire that can handle serious track time and street use, the Vitour P1 is the one to beat!
