King of the Mountain Recap: Vitour P1 in the Shootout

The 2025 King of the Mountain autocross shootout brought out some of the fastest cars in grassroots motorsports, and drivers on Vitour P1 tires were right there in the fight.

Vitour Drivers in the Shootout

Day 1 saw plenty of cars on P1s putting down quick runs. By Day 2, the shootout lineup included Brian Peters, Eric Peachey, Andy Urbanski, Dave Schotz, and Jeremiah Thomas. Peters came away with the Super Late class win and finished 2nd overall, while the rest of the Vitour field showed the tire works across a wide range of builds.

How the P1 Handled the Event

Drivers admitted to some hesitation about the P1 in this format, mainly around getting through that first round on cold tires. But once they came up to temp, the P1s lit up—delivering the grip and confidence needed to push deeper into eliminations. That’s what kept Vitour drivers in the mix all the way to the end.

Why King of the Mountain Matters

With its knockout format, King of the Mountain is one of the toughest tests in autocross. Multiple Vitour cars made the finals, backed by a Super Late class win and 2nd overall, putting the P1 at the top of the 200tw fight.

Next stop: Solo Nationals, where Vitour drivers are ready to line up again and keep the momentum rolling!
