TeamVitourP1 driver Justin Peachey took on Mid-Ohio for the first time and laid down a 1:28.7 lap—just 0.1 seconds off the podium. The lap came during his fourth dry session of the weekend, showing how quickly he got up to pace despite the unfamiliar track.
Strong Finish Without Drop-Off
Justin noted that even late in the session, the car stayed consistent. He was able to keep pushing without any heat issues or tire falloff—critical when learning a track and chasing time.
No Tire Swaps, No Brake Pad Changes
Justin’s been running back-to-back weekends, from hill climbs to Muscle on the Mountain to Midwest Fest, Pitt Race, and now Mid-Ohio. He ran the same set of Hawk Performance DTC-60 brake pads across all of them—no pad swaps, and no tire issues on the Vitour P1s.
Holding Strong Against the Field
Although he just missed the podium, Justin’s 1:28.7 was the fastest time for a traditional manual transmission car at the event. Faster times came from cars running sequentials, DCTs, or 8-speed autos. With a Brian Tooley Racing engine pushing him to 157 mph on the back straight, the full setup—including the P1s—held up across the weekend.
Built for Sessions Like This
