Competing in SSP Class
I’m competing in SSP (Super Street Prepared), where the P1s are allowed to run alongside the Hoosiers. This year, the E-Ray is classed in SSP, but next year, it’s moving to SS (Super Street), and the P1s should follow suit.
First Impressions of the E-Ray
This was my first time driving the E-Ray, and after just 3 runs, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations. My experience driving the Lotus translated well, making the E-Ray easy to drive fast. The course was typical for Grissom but on the tighter side, with a few digs that the E-Ray really excelled at.
Day 1 Results
- 23rd raw out of 200+ drivers
- Around 1/4 down the list in SSP PAX, but when converted to SS PAX, I would have placed 7th overall!
While it wasn’t my best Day 1 result at a Peru tour, even under SS index, I’m extremely pleased with how the Vitour P1 tires performed. The grip and handling really helped the E-Ray shine on this tight, technical course.
