Vitour is stepping into a new era of performance with the upcoming Tempesta Sonic, a 100TW semi-slick racing tire that’s street-legal, track-ready, and engineered to raise the bar for streetable racing tire technology.
Built to Be the Best
From the start, Sonic was designed with one goal: to be the best. Every part of this tire pushes beyond what’s come before:
-
All-new max-effort compound developed for outright pace beyond competitor R-comp tires
-
Kevlar-reinforced construction with sidewall stiffness and stability exceeding the Vitour P1
-
Extreme durability testing — proven to run over an hour at 200+ mph under full load without failure
-
Greater heat tolerance than the P1 P-01R, keeping peak pace alive for more laps
For drivers looking for a track day tire that can withstand both sprint runs and longer stints, Sonic is built to deliver.
Proven on Track
The Sonic isn’t just theory. It’s already rewritten the benchmark. In overseas testing, the Sonic lapped roughly two seconds quicker than the P1 P-01R on the same 700HP BMW M4 test car.
Compared to the P1, the Sonic delivers sharper stability, more consistency under heat, and the ability to hold its edge for longer sessions. And this is still a development tire.
What’s Next for Vitour
The Sonic is just the beginning. It’s one of three new Vitour racing tires scheduled for release in the 2026 season. Each one is being developed with the same relentless focus on performance and durability.
If you’re heading to SCCA Solo Nationals, swing by the big orange Vitour trailer or check out the Test N Tune course on Thursday. You might just catch an early sneak peek of the Sonic before it hits the market!
The Tempesta Sonic is proof that the next generation of Vitour performance is already on its way.
