Nick Zelisko rolled into Road America for the SCCA Time Attack event—and wasted no time putting the Vitour Tempesta P1s to work.
Record-Breaking Grip Right Out of the Gate
Armed with the VitourP1.com RX-8 on a fresh 18x11 setup with 265/35/18 P1s, Nick went full send. On the very first lap, he smashed the Tuner 4 class lap record with a blistering 2:37.558.
There was even more in the tank, but traffic ahead kept him from dropping another second or more. As Nick put it, “There was some mega grip out there!”
A Setback—but Not for Long
Unfortunately, the rotary engine had other plans. A blown side seal cut the weekend short, capping RPM at 6000 and sending smoke signals by the end of the session. But Nick’s not done yet. He’s already planning a comeback at NCM, with his eyes on the Tuner 4 record there too.
