Vitour P1 Delivers at SCCA Time Attack at NCM
Another strong showing for the Vitour Tempesta P1 at NCM Motorsport Park! Drivers across the paddock saw serious results on the P1 this weekend at the SCCA Time Attack—proving once again what this tire can do in the heat of competition.
Vitour P1 Leads the Pack in 200tw Classes
Out of the top 12 fastest cars overall, 10 were on Vitour P1s—including most of the class winners. Kyle McKiou topped the 200tw leaderboard with the fastest time of the weekend, followed closely by our own team car (Dallas Reed in a Corvette E-Ray). Eight classes were won on the P1, covering the majority of 200tw categories with strong participation—clear proof that the performance is no fluke!
Tire Consistency Makes the Difference
One standout moment? We talked with a fellow competitor in grid—one of the only top-10 cars not on Vitours. Running on A052s, he was clearly frustrated with how quickly they fell off. He was doing single flyers and immediately coming in, and in one session, didn’t even manage a timed lap. On the P1s, drivers were able to stay out longer and push harder lap after lap.
New Track Record in T5
Despite far-from-ideal conditions, Richard Sawicki set a new track record in his NA Miata in the T5 class on P1s. That’s what we love to see—results like this from real grassroots racers.
Thanks to SCCA and KYSCCA
Huge thanks to SCCA, KYSCCA, and the volunteers who made this event happen. It’s always a good time at NCM, and we’re already looking forward to being back soon!
Next Up: DriveAutoX at NCM
The action doesn’t stop. We’ll be back at NCM next weekend for DriveAutoX—time to trade in the hot laps for cone dodging. Stay tuned!
