Earlier this year, Grassroots Motorsports released an updated tire ratings chart—and the Vitour Tempesta P1 landed right where it belongs: at the top of the super 200 category.
It’s a strong showing and a fair assessment—and we’re glad to see the P1 getting recognized for what it is: a serious contender across autocross and time attack.
Highlights from the GRM Report Card:
- Fastest in Super 200: The P1 outranks top names like the A052, RE71RS, CR-S, and RT660 in lap time.
- Warmup Behavior: Quick to come in, comparable to popular autocross tires like the RT660 and Rival S 1.5.
- Heat Tolerance: A-, compared to a D for the A052. Enough said.
- Tread Depth Sensitivity: Best in class—stays fast all the way to the cords.
- Wear Rating: B+. Beats out the RE71RS, RT660, A052, and Rival S 1.5.
- Wet Performance: C+—respectable, and still more than competitive in light rain or transitional conditions.
- Price: GRM calls it a solid value—and we agree. The P1 continues to offer true performance without the premium price tag.
We appreciate the recognition from Andy Hollis and the GRM team. The P1 was built to disrupt—and it’s doing exactly that.
