At the June Ultimate Street Car event at Road America, Dallas Reed and his E-Ray delivered a strong showing on Vitour P1s—topping the Outlaw class across every segment.
Consistent Pace, Confident Runs
Despite coning away multiple flyer runs, Reed remained competitive throughout the weekend. He hovered around 3rd or 4th overall in each segment and was fastest in class on the VitourP1.com tires. The best lap of the weekend came in practice during a clean session, underscoring the P1’s capability once the track opens up.
P1 Presence Across the Field
Road America also brought out a growing community of drivers already running P1s—including Mike Gallagher, who was gridded just ahead of Reed in his GT500. Gallagher’s setup featured 305/30/20 fronts and 325/30/20 rears on Vitour P1s, and he was consistently fast on the long straights.
Holding Its Own on a High-Speed Track
While Road America’s long straights favor high-horsepower builds like the GT500, the E-Ray still managed to stay in the fight. With limited access to full power across the lap, Reed’s E-Ray topped out around 140 mph, compared to 160 mph for the GT500. Even so, the P1s helped maximize corner exit and overall pace—proving again that smart grip and predictable performance matter as much as raw speed.
