After nearly a year away from the seat of his Lotus, Team VitourP1 driver Dallas Reed dusted it off for an Indy Region SCCA points event at Grissom Aeroplex—and the P1s didn’t miss a beat.
Long-Lasting Performance
The Lotus was still on the same 305/345 Vitour setup mounted not this past winter, but the one before. Even so, grip and response were right where Dallas left them. No co-driver. Temps in the 80s. First time back in the car since last August. He knocked out a strong first run for 7th on index, then jumped to 2nd overall with his second.
In the Hunt All Day
By the third run, he was still holding 2nd, despite a cone. A DNF on run four erased a strong time that would’ve likely secured his spot. Run five was a full-send test lap to find the limit. But a loose AN fitting cut his final run short, leaving him to stand on his second and finishing 6th on index.
Vitour Presence Up Front
Dallas wasn’t the only one putting down quick times on P1s. Four of the top seven on index were running Vitour P1s—highlighting just how competitive these tires are, even with a full season of wear. The performance is there when it counts!
